This 90-minute session will introduce participants to tools and platforms commonly used for the delivery of virtual professional and continuing education and the things to consider when getting started. The session will develop the understanding of the differences among authoring tools, instructional design, and learning management systems. It will also describe other components of the design of the participant lifecycle including:
- Information (website)
- Registration (eCommerce)
- Certification and badging
- Administration and reporting
- Presentation (1 hour)
- Q/A (30 minutes)

Ella Epshteyn, EdD is an experienced instructional designer, technologist, technology consultant and project manager.
Over the past several years, Ella has participated or led multiple technology evaluation and implementation projects, including continuing and professional education programs. Among other projects, she is currently a lead technology consultant overseeing the development of the Executive Microcertificate in Economic Leadership from BRIMM at the University of British Columbia.
